Senior Consultant Grid Operations & System Operations (m/f/d)

You are deeply rooted in grid operations and understand how transmission and distribution system operators work - technically, economically, regulatorily. You bring this understanding into demanding projects and develop it further. We work on our consulting with the highest quality standards - and we are looking for someone who shares that standard.

Your responsibilities

• Consulting with depth: You advise transmission and distribution system operators on system operations, grid model preparation and operational planning - always close to your clients' core processes.
• Grid models & data: You work with grid model data and standards (CIM/CGMES), validate them and ensure clean exchange and data quality processes.
• Translating requirements into architecture: You turn functional requirements into robust data, test and architecture concepts - from specification through validation to SAT.
• Hands-on delivery: You calculate, model and program yourself - not just on slides, but in the grid model and in the code.
• Shaping growth: You are actively involved where it matters - on topics that genuinely advance the energy transition.

Your profile

• An excellent master's degree in electrical/power engineering, industrial engineering (energy) or a comparable technical field of study.
• You understand grid operations and system operations in depth - load flow, stability, (n-1) analyses as well as operational and grid control processes are familiar territory.
• You program independently (e.g. Python) and think in terms of data and architecture - models, pipelines, interfaces.
• Experience at transmission or distribution system operators or in the critical infrastructure (KRITIS) environment - desirable, ideally first-hand.
• You are familiar with CIM/CGMES - or you pick it up together with us.
• A real plus: ML/MLOps, cloud (Azure) as well as PM/product certifications (PMP, PSPO) - you know how to build and operate models.
• Change management & product leadership are a plus: you facilitate change at the client and have the ability and/or experience to lead product teams.
• You communicate clearly and convincingly, in German as well as in English - with clients on site, with colleagues or at the whiteboard.
• You bring your own perspective on business models in grid operations - data-driven, platform-based, regulation-driven.
